Community Projects

Here is a list of some of the many community service projects in which St. Edward students participate or have participated.

  • All classes are partnered with parishioners in nursing homes, assisted living, and the homebound. The students send cards, letters and small gifts throughout the year.

  • Sixth grade students perform 10-20 hours of community service.

  • Seventh grade students perform 40 hours of community service.

  • Eighth grade students perform 40-60 hours of community service.

  • Seventh and eighth grade decorates, serves lunch, and cleans up for the Mission Lunch.

  • Fifth and Sixth grade students participate in a service project each year to collect donations for a cause that they select.

  • All grades participate in classroom activities that encourage helping others (such as sending cards and praying for the sick).

  • Students collect hats and gloves for the St. Vincent dePaul Society.

  • Students collect food for Associated Charities.

  • Students collect shoes for the Ugandan Mission Trip.

  • Students volunteer in the cafeteria to serve food, wash dishes, and clean tables.
