Community Projects
Here is a list of some of the many community service projects in which St. Edward students participate or have participated.
All classes are partnered with parishioners in nursing homes, assisted living, and the homebound. The students send cards, letters and small gifts throughout the year.
Sixth grade students perform 10-20 hours of community service.
Seventh grade students perform 40 hours of community service.
Eighth grade students perform 40-60 hours of community service.
Seventh and eighth grade decorates, serves lunch, and cleans up for the Mission Lunch.
Fifth and Sixth grade students participate in a service project each year to collect donations for a cause that they select.
All grades participate in classroom activities that encourage helping others (such as sending cards and praying for the sick).
Students collect hats and gloves for the St. Vincent dePaul Society.
Students collect food for Associated Charities.
Students collect shoes for the Ugandan Mission Trip.
Students volunteer in the cafeteria to serve food, wash dishes, and clean tables.
