No one does science like Mrs. Blackford! Our fifth grade students created Cluckers. Ask then how they made that chicken sound.
5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th had a great field trip today. They walked to the courthouse. They were able to meet with Judge Stimpert, visit the judges chambers, tour the courtroom, and see the jury deliberation room. What a fantastic field trip!
Our wonderful sixth grade students spontaneously created this star. They were asked to come up with a caption to go with it and this is what they said:

Ashland University is hosting their 5th annual Girls in Sports Day on April 19, from 12-2pm! The event includes a variety of sports led by AU student athletes in a high-energy environment. It has been a highlight for not only the girls who come, but also for our student athletes to give back to the community!
This event is totally free and open to girls pre-K through 8th grade. All they need to register is email Elizabeth Hoge (ehoge@ashland.edu) with their name, grade, school, and phone number.

St. Patrick came to our school today. He visited all the classes and shared some information about himself. He even told a joke. We didn't know he had a great sense of humor.

When can I shop? The online flower sale for St. Edward School has been extended to 4/1/26.
When will the plants be delivered? Plants will be delivered 05/12/26 and will be available for pickup at the Parish Activity Center. Parents are responsible for pickup of all items ordered. Click the link below to order!

The Caring Therapy Canines came to visit on Friday afternoon. The students loved meeting these furry friends and enjoyed reading dog stories to them. It was so much fun! Thank you to their handlers for bringing them to us and to Mrs, Strong for arranging this.

Our National Junior Honor Society students are completing individual community service projects. Students chose the organization to help and the way they wanted to raise funds. Start up money for each project came from an Ashland County Community Foundation Teacher Mini Grant written by Miss Blackford.
Ivan held a bake sale and raised $698 for the Ashland UMCA.
Avery sold her chocolate covered pretzels and raised $300 for the Ashland County Cancer Association in memory of her grandparents.

Our Move-A-Thon was a big success. We enjoyed time with our partners while we were shooting hoops, walking, jumping rope, dancing, and using the hula hoops in various ways. There was also some star studded singing.
